What if my weight changes?
We take measurements at your first fitting. It’s common for brides to continue working towards their weight goals, so just let us know your plans. We’ll schedule your final fittings close to your wedding date, ensuring a perfect fit when you pick up your dress.
How many fittings are needed for wedding dress alterations?
Normally, 2-3 fittings. At the first fitting, our experienced dressmaker will start pinning your dress to check the fit. The second fitting is for finalising major alterations, while the third fitting is when you get to see your completed dress, making sure it’s perfect before you take it home.
How many fittings for bridesmaids?
Two fittings are usually enough for bridesmaid dresses – one for pinning and the final one to ensure it’s ready for pickup.
Should I dry clean my wedding dress after alteration?
If it’s a brand new dress, no need. For pre-loved or sample dresses, we suggest dry cleaning before alterations.
Will I need to steam or iron my dress after pick up?
We’ll steam your dress at Everlasting Bridal Alterations, ready for your final fitting and pick up.
When can I pick up my altered dress?
Typically, we recommend dress pick up 2 weeks before your wedding.
Is there a fee for consultation?
We offer a free 30-minute consultation during your first fitting.
How much do alterations cost?
The cost depends on the work required; we’ll provide a quote during your initial consultation.
